Volunteer Opportunities
Are you passionate about the arts and lifelong learning? Learn and share your knowledge with other like-minded individuals by becoming a volunteer at the Woodstock Art Gallery. The Woodstock Art Gallery practices safe teaching methods in an inclusive, safe, accessible and friendly space.
Events Volunteer
We rely on the help of volunteers to achieve safe and successful events. Have fun, meet new people, earn community hours and make an impact in your community!
Interested in becoming an events volunteer? Apply to assist with a variety of WAG events:

All events volunteer applications are reviewed and screened by the Facility Rentals & Special Events Coordinator. All events volunteers are required to complete a one hour orientation and training session to review WAG and City policies and procedures.
Education Volunteer
If you are interested in applying for a volunteer opportunity, the following information is required with your application:

- Be sure to include your education, educational institution and experience, and how it relates to the area of interest, hobbies and other interests.

*Please note, Resume/CV and Cover letter not required for High School 40 hours or Event volunteer.
All education volunteer applications are reviewed by the Director/Curator and screened by the program committee before the interview process takes place.
The Woodstock Art Gallery is responsible for:
- Interviewing and screening process
- Providing a binding contract that adheres to all City of Woodstock and Woodstock Art Gallery policies and procedures
- Proper orientation and training
- Mentoring volunteers, developing relationship building, providing supervision, work plan details and regularly scheduled check-ins
- Providing a safe and inclusive working environment at all times
- End of placement evaluations
Please note, a vulnerable sector check is required for anyone over the age of 18 assisting with the vulnerable sector.
