 Life Drawing - Discover NEW a way of seeing! 

Age: 16+
Guest instructor: Ron Milton – Jason Deary (*selected dates only) Weekly figure drawing classes include a curriculum, at-home practice and monthly critique by arts professional, Ron Milton. Models will be posing nude and/or in costume for various lengths of time throughout the evening. Registrants are required to bring their own drawing tools and materials.

Introduction to Mosaic Workshop

Age: 16+
Instructor: Heather Vollans
Students will discover the endless possibilities for mosaic using a variety of materials including stained glass, china, metals, stones, etc. A mosaic is a piece of art or image made from the assemblage of small pieces of coloured glass, stone or other materials. All materials are included in the cost of registration.

Introduction to Natural Dye Wood Block Printing

This workshop is part of IMPRINTING GENERATIONS program. A series of printmaking workshops created to introduce students to printmaking in the newly developed printshop at WAG. IMPRINTING GENERATIONS is funded by Service Canada, New Horizons for Seniors.
Age: 13+
Instructor: Paulina Szczesny
Students will be introduced to natural dye wood block printing techniques. Discover the proper tools, techniques and have a basic understanding of the history and
terminology. All materials are included in the cost of registration. However, if students wish to print on fabric or t-shirt, please bring with you the day of the workshop.

Basics of Wire Art Jewllery Workshop

 Age: 16+
Instructor: Judy Feskun
Students will learn basic techniques for making wire jewellery. At least two projects will be completed. Students will take with them a step-by-step list of instructions to insure future success with the designs that have been shared in the workshop! Explore design, composition, and discuss proper tools and materials. All tools will be available for use in the workshop and all materials are included in the cost of registration.

Introduction to Intaglio Printmaking

This workshop is part of IMPRINTING GENERATIONS program. A series of printmaking workshops created to introduce students to printmaking in the newly developed printshop at WAG. IMPRINTING GENERATIONS is funded by Service Canada, New Horizons for Seniors.
Age: 13+
Instructor: Ron Milton
Students will be introduced to intaglio printing. This type of printmaking is considered to be the most painterly and produces non-editionable prints because the images and lines usually cannot be exactly reproduced so no two prints end up being perfectly alike. Discover the proper tools, techniques and have a basic understanding of the history and terminology. All materials are included in the cost of registration. Students are asked to bring in images or photographs of interest to use as reference material.

Introduction to Stencil Printmaking

This workshop is part of IMPRINTING GENERATIONS program. A series of printmaking workshops created to introduce students to printmaking in the newly developed printshop at WAG. IMPRINTING GENERATIONS is funded by Service Canada, New Horizons for Seniors.
Age: 13+
Instructor: Ron Milton
Students will be introduced to stencil printing. This is the method of transferring an image or pattern or design, by brushing, spraying or squeeging ink through the
open areas of a design of a stencil cut from thin metal, cardboard or mylar. Discover the proper tools, techniques and have a basic understanding of the history and
terminology. All materials are included in the cost of registration. Students are asked to bring in images or photographs of interest to use as reference material.

Introduction to Planographic Printmaking

This workshop is part of IMPRINTING GENERATIONS program. A series of printmaking workshops created to introduce students to printmaking in the newly developed printshop at WAG. IMPRINTING GENERATIONS is funded by Service Canada, New Horizons for Seniors.
Age: 13+
Instructor: Ron Milton
Students will be introduced to planographic printmaking. This method of printmaking is done on a flat surface as opposed to a raised surface like intaglio or relief both use an incised surface. Discover the proper tools, techniques and have a basic understanding of the history and terminology. All materials are included in the cost of registration. Students are asked to bring in images or photographs of interest to use as reference material.
